A good 90% of the time everyone who wants to tune their car comes up with the idea of installing a new set of aluminum rims. Even before an increase in performance by means of chip tuning or lowering, new alloy wheels are statistically the most popular tuning utensil. Understandable because the standard rims are often not necessarily ugly but very much trimmed to mainstream optics and of course not very individual. What could be more obvious than looking around on the shelf of mbDESIGN GmbH & Co. KG to see if there is a fancy alternative to the wheelset installed ex works? The owner of this silver-gray Audi TTrs did just that and swapped the standard rims for a mbDESIGN LV1 wheel set in 20 inches and the color shiny gray.
If you take a closer look at mbDESIGN's rim selection, we will understand why! mbDESIGN stands first and foremost for quality, there is also an appealing selection of different designs and as you can see there was something suitable for the sporty TTrs. Of course we would like to show you the whole thing with pictures and have therefore decided to introduce the car to you. In addition to the visually appealing and well-fitting alloy wheels, the Audi TT has received a few other modifications that we are only aware of from the photos, unfortunately we have not yet had any technical information.
Information about the Audi TTrs
No matter the main focus of the car is clearly on the already mentioned LV1 wheelset which, as already mentioned, certainly does not miss the standard rims and is an absolute asset to the TTrs. I think the car immediately looks more dynamic and sporty, which can never be wrong. We took a closer look at the car and made a few comparisons with the production version and were able to determine one or the other change to the aluminum. What we do directly from mbDESIGN have experienced and recognized for yourself, we provide you with a summary below as usual. These are the known changes to the series:
- mbDESIGN LV1 wheel set in 20 inches (color glossy gray, VA + HA 9.0 × 20, M7 stainless steel screws, red hub caps)
- Lowering (sports springs, coil springs, sports suspension, coilovers, Airride air suspension, with standard air suspension possibly by adjusting the electronics - more information is not available)
- Audi emblem in black
- darkened / tinted windows
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
