BBR GTI tunes the Mazda MX5 1.5 & 2.0 liter!

We are already familiar with performance enhancements on Mazda vehicles from the team around BBR Gti. We also knew that the tuner already on the brand new Skyactiv engines screwed! Now the development is finished and BBR proudly shows what you can get out of the 1.5 & 2.0 liter engines of the current Mazda Miata ND / MK4 models. After the modification of the 1.5 liter, it does + 21PS & 15lb.ft (Name: Super 160) more, the 2,0-liter comes to 177PS (Name: Super 175 +) or 190PS (Name: Super 190). There are also a few visual changes such as lowering the vehicle or, if desired, new OZ alloy wheels. What we have been able to find out and have recognized ourselves, we provide you in a summary below as usual. Of course, we also miss something, should you discover any further changes, we would be happy if you post them in the "comment box".

These are the details of the vehicle:

  • Performance upgrade BBR Super 160 for the 1,5-liter engine
  • Performance increase Super 175 + and Super 190 for the 2,0 liter engine
  • BBR Starchip ECU software upgrades (camshaft, timing and fuel supply revised)
  • BBR cold air intake system, BBR optimized sports exhaust system - 2,5 inches, sports catalytic converter, stainless steel rear silencer with double tailpipes)
  • BBR springs (lowering -30mm)
  • BBR High Performance brake pads
  • BBR performance alloy wheels (by OZ)
  • Goodyear F1 with 215 tires
