Where does tuning actually begin? For many, tuning begins with a lowering or a loud sports exhaust and an increase in performance is for a large part the epitome of a tuned car. But what if we take the trouble and compare the question with a statistic? Then it turns out that in a good 70% of all vehicle owners who want to change the rims of the vehicle are replaced first. Even before classic chip tuning or lowering, new rims are the most popular tuning utensil of all, but at the same time often one of the most expensive subsequent changes.

The choice of rims on the Porsche 911

The choice to change the rims is understandable in my opinion, because often the rims installed ex works are not always unsightly or even ugly, the problem is that the standard rims are selected in the manufacturer's configurator and that is what many other buyers of a, in this case Porsche 911 (991) GT3, also done. In addition, the wheel sets are trimmed in the direction of mainstream optics ex works and of course not very individual because they should ultimately appeal to the general public.

All good reasons for a new set of wheels! What could be more obvious than looking around in the repertoire of HRE Performance Wheels to see whether a suitable alternative to the wheelset installed ex works can be found? The owner of this Porsche 911 (991) GT3 in black has "the wheelset project“And the standard rims were exchanged for an HRE Performance Wheels wheel set of the type P101 in 20 inches. If you look at the selection of rims from HRE Performance Wheels then it becomes clear to us why it had to be this provider! HRE only has high-quality rims in its range and an appealing selection of designs in stock.

As you can see, there was something suitable for the GT3 and the project could begin. In addition to the built-in and very attractive rims, the 911 has received a few more changes that we are only aware of from the photos, unfortunately we have not yet had any technical details. No matter the main focus of the car is of course on the P101 wheelset which certainly does not miss the standard rims and is an absolute asset to the GT3. The vehicle immediately looks more dynamic and sporty, which is always a plus. We took a closer look at the pictures of the vehicle and made a comparison with the production version and were able to determine one or the other change to the rims.

What we have learned directly from the tuner TAG Motorsports and have recognized ourselves, we provide you in a summary as usual below. Should you notice any further changes, we would be happy if you post them in the "comment box", we will then add them to the post as soon as possible.
