Slowly but surely, the 670PS Ferrari 488 GTB develops into a true tuning hit. Just now we have you from the SimplyTire shown and also the Metro Wrapz Version wasn't that long ago and it goes on. For me and for many others, tuning begins with a lowering or a loud sports exhaust and, most importantly, with an increase in performance! Then we will find that for a good 60% of all vehicle owners with a desire for customization, the car is the first to receive a new wheel set and this is almost always at least 1 inch larger than the factory rims. The rims are replaced before the car is chiptuned or lowered. In other words, a new wheel set is the most frequent change to a vehicle, but it is also one of the most expensive. The choice to exchange the rims is understandable, because the rims installed ex works are not necessarily unsightly, the problem is that the standard rims are selected in the manufacturer's configurator and of course thousands of other buyers have one, in this case 488 GTB in red, also done. In addition, the wheel sets are of course trimmed in the direction of mainstream optics ex works because they should please the general public.
New tyres
All very good reasons for a new set of rims! Why not look around in the HRE Performance Wheels repertoire to see if there is a fancy alternative? The owner of this Ferrari 488 GTB has "the wheelset project"And the standard rims were exchanged for an HRE Performance Wheels type S204 in matt black. Anyone who knows HRE Performance Wheels can understand why it had to be this particular provider! HRE has high quality rims in its range and a diverse selection. As you can see, there was something suitable for the new 488 and the project could begin. Apart from the new rims, the GTB has received further changes which we are only aware of based on the photos, unfortunately we do not currently have exact details. No matter the focus is the new S204 wheelset which certainly does not miss the standard rims and is definitely an asset to the Italian. The vehicle looks more dynamic and sporty, which is always a plus and should drive accordingly. We took a closer look at the photos and looked for differences compared to the production model and were able to determine a few more changes to the rims.
