If you are looking for new aluminum rims or tuning parts, especially for Mercedes vehicles, and if you focus on quality and design, there is hardly a way around the rim manufacturer & tuner MEC Design. In order to show you this practically, we found a Mercedes CL63 AMG of the W216 series modified by MEC Design that carries a 22 inch MEC Design mecxtreme forged wheel set as we basically already do on this one almost identical CL63 have seen. On the vehicle, apart from a small rear spoiler and a differently colored interior, there seem to be hardly any differences to the above-mentioned CL and the rims are also virtually identical and on the current vehicle only less shiny in the middle and with more screw connections. The pictures were recently published on the company's website and we think we should show them to you. In addition to the optically really well-fitting rims, the AMG has received a few other changes that we are only aware of due to the pictures, unfortunately we currently do not have any technically reliable information. Regardless, the main focus of the car is clearly on the already mentioned mecxtreme3 wheelset, which is an absolute asset to the car compared to the standard rims and immediately gives the vehicle a more dynamic appearance. We took a closer look at the car and made a few comparisons with the production version and, as I said, were able to determine one or the other change. What we have learned directly from the company and have recognized ourselves, we provide you with a summary as usual below. - MEC Design mecxtreme3 aluminum rims (10 + 11,5 × 21, 3-piece finish: outer bed chrome, rim star satin / black)
- Tires 285 / 25 + 295 / 25
- possibly a wheel spacers all around (VA 15mm + HA 10mm)
- Lowering (MEC Design ELS lowering module up to 60mm possible)
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - info is pending)
- MEC Design exhaust system for CL63 bi-turbo with original tailpipes (rear silencer and middle silencer, sound version Daytona and Earthquake available)
