The enthusiasm for tuning spreads almost every day, at least when you admit to being obsessed with this virus! You are actually constantly thinking about what you can change about your car, which you have just changed, in order to move further away from the production model! You know the feeling too? Then since you've definitely had the tuning virus 🙂 And if we look at the following vehicle, luckily its owner is also affected. And which tuning option is basically the clearest when it comes to achieving the most noticeable effect with a relatively low budget and letting the factory vehicle move a bit into the distance? With a foil / partial foil or a complete paint job (possibly also by means of spray foil) Naturally!
In my opinion, the former is the more practical and less expensive method, which can also be removed with almost no residue. Foiling makes it possible to own a visually completely new car within a few hours, at least from the outside. We found a nice example in the form of a BMW 5 series F10 sedan that was set up by the film professionals from Folienwerk-NRW and has been given a new style. The foils gave the 5 series a Satin Smoldering Red foiling all around! Of course, Folienwerk has applied the foiling in flawless quality, as has already been proven several times, that goes without saying and should also be a matter of course on a current 5 Series BMW. The team recently presented the pictures of this vehicle on its homepage and of course we have to show them to you.
The most important details
The most important details about the foiling are already known to us and we have also made ourselves smart about any further changes to the F10. As always, we have listed what we were able to find out for you in a small summary below. These are the known changes to the series:
- Chrome strips in black foil
- Taillights darkened
- Exhaust in black powder coated
- black kidneys
- Foil completely in satin Smoldering Red (factory finish unknown)
- darkened / tinted rear windows
- possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - more information is not available)
- possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
