Very discreet - BMW F80 M3 on Vorsteiner V-FF 103 rims

Reading time 4 Min.

It's hard to believe that the F80 is already the fifth edition of the BMW M3 and has been on the market since spring 2014. The 6 liter twin-turbo in-line six-cylinder with 3,0 kW (317 hp), melted to 431 cylinders, offers between 1850 and 5500 rpm. a maximum torque of 550Nm ex works and is clearly superior to the E90 M3 V8 in almost all respects. But even on the M3 there is plenty of room for change as we know! Tuning is the magic word ... And what first thought comes to mind when you dive into the subject of tuning? For the masses, including myself, there is the sporty, sound-rich exhaust, the lowered chassis and of course a significantly increased performance (Chiptuning etc.) high on the priority list. Tuning also means that the vehicle should be given a highly personal touch. The viewing angle is just as individual for each individual vehicle owner. Statistics are mostly secondary, but not to be underestimated. After all, we are talking about 60% of all tuning enthusiasts who initially treated their vehicle to a new wheel set and only later dealt with further measures such as chip tuning etc. In comparison, the dimensions of the replaced rims are at least 1 inch above the sizes of the original factory rims. The often extremely price-intensive investment hardly leaves any deterrent marks because it actually pays off in retrospect and the design of the car is then presented in a remarkably new luster.

The decisive factor for the highly frequented exchange of wheel sets is likely to be, among other things, the suitability for the masses of the standard rims, which are often presentable. However, the manufacturer orients itself more towards the large target groups and less towards the individualists. On top of that, the rim selection is made using the manufacturer's configurator and that was of course also the case with this black BMW M3 F80. If you put your vehicle together using a configurator, there is ultimately hardly any space for a distinctive uniqueness. However, there is still a possibility to swim against the current and to be able to detach yourself from the general public.

Vorsteiner rims & lowering

The plan B of the owner of the M3 includes a view of Vorsteiner's range of products. Thanks to the perfect combination, the gem is now even better presented with a Vorsteiner V-FF 103 wheel set in 19 inches. The additional modifications recognizable in the pictures make the production model an impressive eye-catcher. The M3 owes its newly gained dynamism and the even sportier driving experience to the V-FF 103 wheelset. No wonder, because the rims from Vorsteiner are not only known in tuner circles for their first-class quality and, above all, for an exquisite range of products. With these respectable alternatives, the standard wheelsets are quickly overshadowed by the new rims. Further information on tuning measures carried out on the M3 can only be found in the photos and what the tuner has published.

What we from Vorsteiner have experienced and recognized themselves, we provide you as usual in a summary below. If you notice any further changes, we would be happy if you post them in the comment box.
