Vision: VW T6 bus as T6 500R from tuner Oettinger

Reading time 2 Min.

We have found two virtual pictures for you from the tuning team around the VW tuner Oettinger. The latest model, which was initially created as a study on the "drawing board" (probably on the PC) by Oettinger, shows us the VW T6 bus presented at the beginning of the year as an extremely potent 500+ PS version. How did the enormous leap in performance come about? Oettinger elicits what is already real VW Golf 500R with a 2,5-liter five-cylinder turbo engine (from the Audi RS3), as is well known, a hefty 518 hp (even up to 750 hp on request), and this is exactly the engine that is to be transported to the T6 you see The bus also flies around the corner with 500PS. After the mentioned VW Golf 500R I think the idea shown here is an exciting approach from the tuner. If you wish, you can take things a little faster in the near future because Oettinger already has a performance increase to 204PS and 2.0Nm in its range for the well-known 240PS 500 TDI engine. I would be happy to see the T6 look like this or at least something similar on our roads. You too?

These are the virtual changes to the VW T6 bus :,

  • Conversion to 2,5 liter five-cylinder turbo engine (from the Audi RS3)
  • Name: T6 500R
  • possibly several expansion stages with up to 750 PS
  • for the diesel: performance increase from 204 PS (2.0 TDI) to 240 PS and 500 Nm
  • Body kit in progress (wider wheel arches, bumper - radiator grille based on the Oettinger Golf 500R optics, side skirts, new rear apron with diffuser, roof spoiler)
  • significantly larger wheel-tire combination
  • Sports exhaust system with two tailpipes (right + left)
  • unknown lowering

Maybe there will be more drawings in the next few days. As soon as this is the case, we will of course put it online and inform you about it.
