3G = Great and in a good mood! The 3rd American Horsepower Show!

At the 100.000 PS “American Horsepower Show” festival, instead of hot-blooded racehorses - after the Corona interruption last year - fans and friends of American cars came together on September 12 at the Dinslaken harness racing track for the family US Car Festival and brought theirs together American cars with. "After the pandemic-related break last year, thanks to good preparation we were able to hold our US Car Festival with the city of Dinslaken," reports Thomas Frankenstein, editor-in-chief of the online magazine AmeriCar.de. "The postponement of the date from June to September as well as the new Corona rules did not affect the event, so that one can certainly speak of the largest US car meeting in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2021."

3rd American Horsepower Show

1.000 American cars on the Dinslaken harness racing track! In fact, as the organizer, E-Mags Media GmbH was able to welcome almost 22 American cars and around 1.000 visitors in a friendly sun-cloud mix weather with 2.500 ° C. As last time in 2019, many participants came from the region and the surrounding districts and cities, but also from neighboring countries and some even from further afield. Due to the necessary Corona measures (3G control), the participants lined up almost to the exit of the A59 motorway.

"Many participants took the chance at one of the few US car meetings this year and we excited so many new US car fans for the American Horsepower Show!" Said Thomas Frankenstein. And so not only the participants could look forward to a well-filled infield on the huge area with southern flair and historic buildings, but also the visitors, who saw the spectrum of US cars from shiny street cruisers to hot rods to powerful muscle Cars from then and now was enough.

In the beer gardens adjacent to the stage, the interested guests listened to the vehicle presentations by the moderation team Thomas Frankenstein and Joel Weyers. At the same time, the US cars that drove up were evaluated by an experienced jury. A muscle car almost ran over the foot of one of our moderators. American Food Festival

In the center of the area, the event offered an American Food Festival with American starters, hot dogs and burgers as well as American soft ice and bubble waffles, but also German bratwurst, pizza & crepes. "The American Food Festival was well received. We want to expand the concept further next year. American cuisine has so much more to offer than just burgers and fries," explains Thomas Frankenstein.

Celebrity Presence

None other than Klaus Borrmann - US car expert and known from the TV series “Cash for Chrome” on DMAX came to the “Meet & Greet” and signed autographs for US car and “Cash for Chrome” fans took loads of selfies.

For the first time, the “Mr. Horsepower "contest", in which the candidates had to ask themselves various fun tasks such as throwing horseshoes, but also had to solve questions from the "AmeriCar knowledge to go" compendium. The dealer mile with a good selection of decorations, souvenirs, clothes, tools and care products offered a good change from the entertaining program on the show stage, where the top 30 American cars were driven up to the cup ceremony at the end of the US Car Festival.

"The American Horsepower Show has prevailed - not only in terms of Corona," explains Thomas Frankenstein. “We are already looking forward to next year at one of the greatest locations in North Rhine-Westphalia - the Dinslaken trotting track. US car fans should already mark September 11, 2022 in their calendars ”.
