BILSTEIN is continuously filling Schaeffler's online workshop portal!

Chassis manufacturer BILSTEIN has been represented on Schaeffler's renowned REPXPERT workshop portal since June 2021. And not only in Germany, but also in the United Kingdom and Poland. "By bundling the expertise of Schaeffler in the area of axle parts and that of the shock absorber and spring manufacturer BILSTEIN, excellent conditions have been created for providing high-quality content for workshops," explains Volker Wegerhoff, Head of Sales Aftermarket at thyssenkrupp Bilstein GmbH. Rainer Popiol, head of the BILSTEIN Academy, is also enthusiastic about this “know-how joint venture” and joint training opportunities. The fact is: a good three and a half months after the start, an extensive portfolio of technical training and knowledge content is available.

Examples are workshop tips for the calibration of assistance systems (FAS) after chassis work, the explanation of the groove adjustment on the shock absorber or the elimination of annoying noises from the area around the suspension. The selection of content is already impressive and continues to grow. For the “Installation Instructions” chapter, BILSTEIN is currently mainly contributing its extensive know-how about air springs and modules. The workshops will find assembly videos on different vehicle types here and the range of topics is constantly being expanded. In addition to the actual web platform, the REPXPERT social media channels and newsletter also benefit from the additional content created by BILSTEIN.

Since the beginning of the cooperation, the entire BILSTEIN range has also been identifiable on REPXPERT via the TecDoc parts catalog. In addition, BILSTEIN products relevant to the aftermarket are presented individually for the most part. The spectrum ranges from add-on and service parts (B1) to coil or air springs (B3) as well as standard replacement shock absorbers (B4 and B6) and air suspension modules (also B4) to sports and coilover suspensions (B12, B14 and B16).

The joint training courses from which the cooperation with Schaeffler REPXPERT originally arose are a highlight. In technically related areas, they benefit enormously from the concentrated knowledge of the two industry giants. The next online training via the Vitero platform will take place for Germany on September 22nd at 17 pm on the subject of "Modern chassis technology - active components". A training course on chassis and shock absorbers is planned for Polish REPXPERT participants on September 30th. All relevant information can also be found directly in the REPXPERT training calendar.

Of course, that wasn't the end of it!

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
