The traditional company Bitter (ME Bitter Automotive GmbH) around the founder Erich Bitter has been back for a long time with new design elements for current Opel models. The tuner has been in business for over 50 years and Opel has always been there. At that time, Rally Bitter imported, for example, the Intermeccanica Italia from Costruzione Automobili and also the Indra. Inspired by the studies of OPEL (1969) of the DIPLOMATA CD, Bitter decided to build his own vehicle, the BITTER CD, which was built 395 times. It combined American design with German technology and impressed with the 230 hp 5,4 liter V8 from Chevrolet. It is currently not that extensive, but skillful accents still make the difference on a current Bitter Opel. If desired, there are different grille variants, applications for the rear-view mirrors, trim parts for the rear and various Bitter Badgets all around. The components are currently available for the Opel Adam, the Mokka and the Insignia. The Insignia uses high-quality carbon, while the Adam and Mokka accessories are made of GRP. Upon request, there is also a modified interior and so Bitter has, for example, revised seats or door panels with individual nappa leather in various colors in stock.
For the Insignia
- new grille with different logo shapes (round and square), rear spoiler with logo, side decorative elements, mirror caps, rear diffuser
For the Adam
- Front spoiler, rear diffuser, front grille with integrated B, roof extension, trunk opener with embossed B
For the mocha
- Front grille with integrated B, side skirts with bitter signs, front and rear diffuser (with lettering), rear clasp.

Rallye BITTER was only an importer for the Intermeccanica Italia owned by Costruzione Automobili owner Frank Reisner), Erich BITTER was also an importer for the other model Indra and provided BITTER with the delivery of components by OPEL / GM.
Because of the “poor quality” from Italy, BITTER, inspired by the studies at OPEL (1969) from the DIPLOMATA CD, decided to build its own vehicle, the 395 times BITTER CD.
