Every material found in TECHSYN has been developed in parallel by the three companies to create a tire technology platform that offers unrivaled performance. Thanks to TECHSYN, the tires have up to 30 percent better wear behavior and up to six percent less rolling resistance than conventional Bridgestone premium summer tires from the EMIA region. Other performance areas are not affected. During the development of TECHSYN, a special focus was placed on improving tire wear in order to ensure less material loss.
With these optimizations, TECHSYN increases the sustainable performance of the tires by reducing overall fuel consumption and CO2 emissions while increasing mileage. The durability of TECHSYN can extend the service life of the tires manufactured with it by up to 30 percent. This results in a tire that needs to be changed less often and reduces the consumption of raw materials in the long term.

The Tire Technology Platform has the unique property of balancing the performance of a tire in terms of rolling resistance, wear and wet grip and can also be adapted to meet different requirements. For example, TECHSYN's wear benefit can be converted to promote wet grip of a tire instead. TECHSYN's versatility is made possible by Solvay's unique advanced silica developments, ARLANXEO's expertise in developing, manufacturing and supplying novel tire polymers, and Bridgestone’s innovative rubber compound technology.
TECHSYN was developed for use in various tire categories and vehicles - also in combination with other leading tire technologies from Bridgestone. For example, together with the Enliten lightweight tire technology from Bridgestone, it is possible to further reduce the weight of a tire while maintaining the same performance. Bridgestone kept these different areas of application and possible combinations in mind when introducing TECHSYN.
