The DUB tuning is a trend from the US, which spread in no time across the globe. This type of tuning became popular mainly through music videos in which DUB-tuned cars are often to be seen or to be seen next to pretty and lightly dressed dancers.

How to imagine DUB tuning?

With 20 Customs it usually starts, in extreme cases even 26 Customs are possible, whereby however the legally prescribed distance between tires and wheel arches can no longer be guaranteed, and threatening severe penalties. As soon as the oversized tires begin to rub against the wheel arches, the driving behavior also changes drastically, so that the traffic safety of the vehicle is limited. Mostly, they are shiny chrome rims, which are attached to the so-called DUB tuning on sedans and station wagons, which cause a lot of stir in the road.

Likelihood of confusion threatens

In the USA, the Volkswagen models are also often referred to as “Dub”, as this name, which is derived from “VW”, which is pronounced “VeeDub” in English, has become firmly established in American English. Thus, it is quite common in the United States for a dub with a dub tuning to be seen at a scene get-together.
