If you like classic rims, you should look at the so called Gas Burner rims. Originally, the rims were made by the company Mahle produced. The name Gas Burner comes because the rims look like an old gas stove. Although Mahle does not produce the rims anymore, there are now some manufacturers who reproduce the rims. GasBurner rims are available in different bolt circles. Common bolt circles are 5 × 130, 5 × 112 or 4 × 130 millimeters. Gas Burner rims are available in many different dimensions and therefore for many classic cars. The following dimensions are common for Gas Burner rims: 5.5J x 15 "ET20 and 5.5J x 15" ET35, 5.5J x 15 "ET45 and 5.5J x 15" ET6.

  • VW Beetle and VW Beetle convertible of the type 11 / 15

  • Karmann Ghia Coupe and convertible type 14

  • Tire dimensions: 205 / 65R15 (C) / 205 / 60R15 / 195 / 70R15 (C) / 195 / 65R15 and 185R15C

  1. Hallo,
    I would like to have the rims on my Type 11 Beetle.
    That's not a problem with the ABE. Historically it is, but only on the Porsche 914.
    For the H approval, the examiner needs proof that this rim could be registered on beetles at that time.
    Is there any information or documentation about this?

    Cosa vuol dire? Io ho una 914/4 cilindrata 1700 del 1970 e sul libretto non ho riportato ne 'le dimensioni delle gomme che dei cerchi.Ora vorrei montare i cerchi SSP Il cerchio del bruciatore a gas con 5.5J x 15 "ET35.
    Originariamente sulla scheda della vettura il cerchio 5,5 × 15 era riportato con pneumatici 165r15.Poi la Porsche ha con una circolare ammesso anche le gomme 195 / 65R15.
    Cosa devo fare? grace
