Important is the use of bulbs with ECE number. So you can make sure that the lights are approved at least schonmal times. Also, an SML will not pass the next HU if it is below 25cm or above 1.5m above the ground. Another condition is that they must be coupled to the parking light.

Blinking or not connected or defective SML are not accepted by TÜV. The SML must also be attached to the sides of the vehicle and must not be placed too center back and front.
