Studies have already shown that CBD generally has a relaxing effect on the body, calming the mind after a long journey and making it easier to switch off. More specific effects of CBD include promoting sleep (a natural substitute for sleeping pills), stress relief and anxiety reduction. The body's own endocannabinoid receptors respond to the active ingredient and thus increase the serotonin level in the blood. This is a messenger substance that transmits information in the nervous system and has a great influence on mood, sleep and wake rhythms, as well as on emotions.

Light food
If you don't go to bed straight away after a drive, you can treat yourself to a light meal. A heavy piece of meat or cheese spaetzle would be counterproductive here, as they only burden the stomach and can also lead to insomnia.
A lean chicken salad, muesli with yogurt, or similar low-fat meals are ideal after a long drive.

The water itself is of course best for drinking, but even heavily diluted fruit juices or teas are always a good choice.
