Tiki Style - the special applications for your car

The Tiki-style autotuning is a purely visual change to your car. Mostly stickers are used to decorate it shrill and colorful. But it is also an even more creative ornament by airbrush art possible. With the appropriate artistic talent, you can design and run your own designs, and if not, there are enough vendors to do the tiki tuning for you, or sell stickers that are easy to apply.

Where does the name Tiki Style come from?

Tiki Style - the special applications for your car

Originally the word Tiki comes from the mythology of the natives of New Zealand, the Maori. According to them, Tiki was the name of the first human. The term was then transferred to mostly wooden statues of deities from similar native cultures on other islands in the South Seas and was associated primarily with Hawaii. In the Western world it became the symbol and generic term for the cultures of the South Seas. In the 1930 years, Tiki motifs became a fashion trend in California, which gradually spread around the world. All the world dreamed of the beautiful life on the tropical beach, hula girls and surfing. Accordingly, bars, apartments and of course cars were decorated with Tiki statues, natives girls and palm trees. The Tiki culture had its heyday in the late 50 and early 60 years. Then it ebbed away, but was rediscovered in the 80ern and experienced from the middle of 90er a worldwide revival. The classic Tiki motifs, the surfer or the surfboard, the Tiki statue, the hula girl, palm trees and cocktails are more of a retro flair at the moment. However, they still look extremely good, and just because you can not find them on every car, they catch your eye and cause a stir.

A big advantage of Tiki Style car tuning is that, although it looks very cool and often attracts more attention than a less noticeable conversion, it does not require any structural changes. So you can do the Tiki tuning yourself in your garage without having to worry about damaging your car. The worst that can happen is that a sticker is stuck on crooked or with a crease or that splotches of paint get into a place where they look less beautiful. This is easy to fix by scratching the sticker off again or painting it over again. The stickers with the typical - and also those with less typical - Tiki motifs can be found everywhere in car accessories shops under the category applications, stickers or emblems and often simply at gas stations. They are cheap and, as already mentioned, easy to stick on yourself. Airbrush kits and paints are also available in stores. However, you need a little practice and skill to use them. There are also numerous tuning providers here who are happy to do this professionally for you if you don't want to experiment on your car.
