Unofficial record - 810 km / h in the 5000 PS Turbinator II

Crazy vehicles are known to be in bulk. No matter if one Reliant Robin as a racecar, a Ford Mustang in the 20er years look or a crazy one 1.500 PS Cadillac CTS-VWhat you like is built. But the following vehicle surpasses them all. Of the Turbinator II! A land vehicle that is powered by a turbine and produces an insane 5.000 hp. Even the linked CTS-V seems almost ridiculous. The "Team Vesco“Wanted to set a new official speed record on October 2, 2018 on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. The bullet was driven by Dave Spangler who managed a speed of an incredible 503,332 miles per hour (810 km/h) to reach. But this is not even the end of the flagpole to be reached like Spangler tells. Under optimal conditions, the Turbinator II should even be able to run up to 965 km / h.

Almost 1000 km / h should be possible

Unofficial record - 810 km / h in the 5000 PS Turbinator II

Unfortunately, the nice weather is not always a given in this extreme area of Utah. The run was unfortunately disturbed by the weather. The second necessary ride for the world record (in the opposite direction) was not possible due to the bad conditions and the surface of the salt lake. Unofficially, the Turbinator II is nevertheless the fastest wheel-driven Land vehicle. In contrast to the faster competitors in the form of the Thrust SSC or the Bloodhound SSC (over 1.200 km / h), the wheels of Turbinator II are driven by a transmission directly from the turbine. Hats off… If we receive timely information of another record drive there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed if yours is just ours Feed subscribe to.
