A Swedish collector bought this VW Beetle, built in 1948, for 130.950 Euro

51 old and historic models from VW came underway in Sweden. A private collector had cared for these over 30 years and exhibited them in his own museum. Overall, he took the disposal of whopping 6.939.300 kroner which corresponds to something 670.000 Euro. A VW Beetle found a new owner for 130.000 Euro. Part of the proceeds, the man uses to finance another beetle.

After the auction could Bengt Holmgren be satisfied. Although he could not sell all of his models, he enjoyed the win. Interested parties transferred almost seven million crowns to his account. But he is sure that he will still sell the vehicles for which there was not the desired minimum bid. He is sure that he will hand it over to a new owner on good terms. The two most expensive cars from VW even stay in Sweden. It is the oldest Beetle that is still authorized to drive there. This dates from 1948 and found a new owner for 130.950 euros. The only VW Última Edición available in the country was also bought by a Swede who spent 106.700 euros on it. The largest number of cars was bought by a Dutchman who owned a total of 12 cars.

There were also exports to Germany, Switzerland or Belgium. Two VW 1303 found a new home in the home country of the manufacturer. In addition, there are three more VW 1500 now in the Federal Republic. A K70 additionally found a new owner in Germany. A beach buggy and a Karmann Ghia Cabriolet also get a German license plate. The Baja Bug for sale also found a German buyer. The VW 411 and the replica of a convertible from the year 1939 found like the other models their way into German climes.

For the two tuned VW 1200 with Judson compressor There were no customers who wanted to pay the minimum bid. Nevertheless, it came to the deposit of offers, which is why Holmgren is sure that he will sell the two cars. Even the Brazilian SP2 is still in his museum. But here are potential buyers, where only the price plays a role. An agreement is in sight here. Holmgren uses part of the new capital to finance his hobby. He bought an 1303 Beetle and would like to participate in rallying with him. This is currently in the restoration and conversion phase. Of course it had to be a classic from Wolfsburg again for him.
