Last weekend, the police in Bremen just prevented a planned car race. The race was to take place at midnight on the 281 motorway and the approx. 30 participants had arrived with high-powered, partly heavily tuned limousines and sports cars. However, even before the arrival of the emergency vehicles and civil strips, the drivers had gone in different directions. The later search led to two cars on the Breitenweg in Bremen drove with conspicuous and partly significantly excessive driving direction Oldenburger road (B6) in the direction of Delmenhorst. These two drivers were pursued by the emergency services and in the end an Audi S4 with an 23 year old driver at the wheel was stopped at the exit to the 281 motorway. The vehicle was secured on the spot and the driver's license was collected. Even a provisional arrest had to endure the speeders. In the aftermath, there were still controls in the shopping park at Bremer Straße in Stuhr-Brinkum where about 20 tuned vehicles made themselves noticed. Fortunately, no technical manipulation or criminal offenses were detected on any of the vehicles.
