If you want to modify your vehicle, you have an almost unlimited choice of ways to do it! From the complete body kit to the small LED light, there is nothing that does not exist. What is often missing, however, is an expert opinion to be able to legally use the new components. The requirements to receive such an opinion are high. Too high for many manufacturers. An industrial mechanic apparently did not want to admit this and simply wrote the reports himself. At some point, however, the hoax was discovered and he was now tried at the district court in Dresden. Since he apparently credibly regretted his actions, the court sentenced him to 18 months in probation and a fine of € 1500. The question of where the original expert opinion templates came from, which he used for the forgery, remained open. In total, he wrote deceptively genuine TÜV and Dekra reports in 18 documented cases, which led to attachments for Audi, Mazda, VW, Porsche, Mercedes and BMW being registered by the registration office.
Of course that had not been the case.
