In three cases, the fine notices had a judicial aftermath, but in March 2023 the lawsuits were heard by the Trier district court rejected. The reasoning didn't really satisfy anyone. In it, the court consolidated the plaintiffs' points of view, but the evaluations are permissible within the meaning of the road traffic regulations, because the data collected are above the right to informational self-determination.
