New idea! Noise Blitzer in Switzerland against noise-Posing

And again there is breathtaking news for fans of tuned vehicles. In Switzerland, so-called "noise cameras" are being planned, which are intended to take consistent action against illegally converted vehicles. As the name suggests, the focus is on cars with exhaust systems that are too loud. Similar to speed measurement, the devices should analyze incoming vehicles and photograph the car and driver from a certain volume level. The project is being promoted by the "Swiss Noise League", which demands a limit of 80 decibels for cars and motorcycles. Traffic noise is said to be particularly pronounced in Geneva and the second most severe form of environmental pollution after air pollution. However, the production of such a "noise speed camera" might be difficult. After all, the device must measure the volume of the vehicle precisely and enable unambiguous assignment. Furthermore, a sound file would also have to be saved and of course the conventional image of the car and the driver.

in a pilot project also in New York

This is technically feasible, but several vehicles, e.g. B. on a multi-lane road or when overtaking, in front of the noise camera, the unambiguous assignment is likely to be a little more difficult. The production of a reliable noise radar is hardly more expensive than a conventional speed camera, but so that not every tractor or truck driver immediately gets a ticket, a development time of 2 to 4 years can be expected. If we continue to drive sales of electric vehicles during this time, we believe that the problem of "noise" should go away on its own. If we receive further information about the planned noise cameras, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
