The biggest German-language auto forum has been the scene of intense debate since yesterday. Trigger is an alleged statement by Dennis Gladiator (CDU). He suspects that some of the Soko Autoposer in Hamburg decommissioned vehicles were financed illegally. This suspicion should be investigated. The authorities should review the cases in question and if necessary counteract them legally. If the suspicion is confirmed or not, we find the process anything but sensitive. If anything, in our opinion, a review would have to be applied to every car that is taken out of circulation. The base model of an 5er BMW should hardly be cheaper than a VW Golf MK7 with extensive tuning conversions. If an 5er is not modified, then the suspicion does not even arise, or does it?
The driver of a tuned VW Golf per se suspects, while the driver of a standard 5er BMW does not come under suspicion? It can be assumed that a rather inconspicuous standard vehicle is better as a means of transportation for bad boys as a car, which immediately stands out in the eye. Or? And how do you imagine that? It is about the newly created possibilities of criminal asset accumulation, which was adopted in July 2017 by legislative amendment. If the asset source is unclear, the state can collect the money. This is at least when it is proven beyond doubt that the money was generated by illegal acts. Of course, it is correct that the Soko Autoposer Hamburg has legally shut down a variety of illegal vehicles. That's out of the question and ensures safety on the roads.
Even if we do not know every vehicle that has been decommissioned so far, the probability is high that the lion's share of the decommissioned vehicles can be counted as “average” cars, which in turn allows conclusions to be drawn about the owners and their income. We are of the opinion that owners of luxury cars who pursue illegal gainful employment have 90% to do with their “job” and that the subject of tuning and particularly conspicuous “posing” is probably more of a taboo. You do NOT want to attract attention! This category of employed people probably doesn’t worry about wide spacers, flap systems that open improperly or unregistered € 300 chip tuning boxes. All things that ultimately attract attention, which this clientele certainly does not want. We doubt that the remaining 10% of vehicle owners are enough to publicly express such an assumption and thus give a scene a negative swipe.
Of course that had not been the case. Our tuning magazine has tens of thousands more tuning reports in stock. Do you want to see them all? Just click HERE and look around. Or are you particularly interested in our category TÜV & Dekra, laws, prohibitions? Then the following excerpt is definitely right.
