For some time now, complaints from GTI fans from Carinthia regarding a brazen rip-off have been increasing. The focus is apparently on a stand of a German tuning club that can be found regularly with a new name at different trade fairs. There you will find a kind of competition card from which you should enter your personal data including account number and signature. Hardly anyone observes the information in the small print, especially when it comes to the fair. Willing or coincidence? After a few weeks, the first debit of € 36 comes and is then repeated every three months.
At this point, the legally regulated 14-day withdrawal option had already expired. Of course, one could strive to withdraw because of misleading as the consumer was not aware of the costs involved. The legal situation here is definitely anything but easy. And in our opinion a few “complaints” are by no means sufficient to mean that something must be wrong right away. Our advice: at the latest when an account number or a signature must be given somewhere - watch out!
Of course that had not been the case. Our tuning magazine has tens of thousands more tuning reports in stock. Do you want to see them all? Just click HERE and look around.
