Akrapovič has developed the Evolution Line (Titanium) system for the Cupra Formentor VZ5 released its first aftermarket exhaust system under the Cupra brand. The entire system was made from race-proven materials and matched to the car's five-cylinder 2.5-litre engine. It has four distinctive, handcrafted carbon tailpipes with titanium inner shells, a sandblasted silencer made of high-quality titanium and a connecting pipe made of high-quality stainless steel.

By using high-quality lightweight components, an exhaust system was realized with a sensational weight saving of 49,6% compared to the standard system. Since the two pairs of twin tailpipes maintain the original appearance of the original version, no changes to the car's elegant lines are required.

Each side of the muffler contains a flap, the body of which is made in Akrapovič's in-house foundry, to adjust the tone. The flaps give the engine a sharp, distinctive and well-defined sound, creating a distinction between the vehicle's different driving modes. In comfort mode, the exhaust system produces a relaxing sound, ideal for long journeys. In Sport mode, the sound changes to indicate the engine's potential, and in Cupramode it ramps up to a sporty roar when pushed to its limits. The system also comes with a specially designed control unit that gives the vehicle occupants the full sound experience of a Akrapovich Evolution Line (Titanium) exhaust system offers.

Performance increase of 10,6 hp and 27,3 Nm

This spectacular exhaust system was developed to achieve higher performance. When testing on the Akrapovichtest bench, an increase in output of 7,8 kW (10,6 hp) at 2.800 rpm and an increase in torque of 27,3 Nm at 2.750 rpm were measured compared to a Cupra Formentor VZ5 with a standard exhaust system. No re-mapping is required for configuration and ECE type approval applies to vehicles fitted with an OPF (Otto Particulate Filter).
