Have in august we reported about itthat the tuner specialized on vehicles from the house Ford Mountune already gets huge 513 PS & 700 NM torque by means of m520 MRX tuning from the current 2,3-liter EcoBoost engine of the Ford Focus RS. But apparently one does not want to be satisfied with that and is now showing with a video that even over 600 hp are possible. After the upgrades to 400, 444 and the mentioned 513 PS, a variant is now mobilized on the test bench with the insane 684 PS and 767 Nm torque. Compared to the series, this is a plus of 334 PS & 317 NM. So almost doubled!
with BorgWarner EFR 8374 turbocharger
The engine from the video has a BorgWarner EFR 8374 turbocharger with water-cooled bearing housing installed and an in-house MRX cylinder head. In addition, everything combines an in-house chip tuning software and a forged camshaft or forged pistons and connecting rods are absolutely necessary. For this purpose, the engine is fed with a fuel containing 30% ethanol. Whether this upgrade is actually officially on sale but remains to be seen. In terms of durability, of course, some questions may well arise.
