Already 1971 began the story of G-Power in the premises of an Esso petrol station in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt. The founders were always fascinated by BMW automobiles and expanded the gas station with a workshop and showroom. 1976 has been designed with carefully tuned tuning kits consisting of twin carburetors, camshafts and manifolds. G-Power was then founded by father and son Grommisch 1983 and focused initially on the exclusive tuning of BMW cars. 1985 invents G-Power the DTM exhaust and the wedge-shaped chassis and already 1987 begins the distribution of its own products in America and Australia, until finally in the year 2000 complete vehicles were distributed worldwide. 2007 began the success story of G-Power Autotuning with the first Hurricane model.

The first prototype was a M5 Hurricane with bi-compressor systemwho was already able to reach 730 PS. 2012 celebrated the M5 Hurricane anniversary. The 100. The own development department lets G-Power set new trends again and again. As one of the oldest German tuners G-Power holds several world records. Among other things, the + 800 PS strong M5 Hurricane RR has long been the fastest sedan in the world. Other world record-breaking vehicles include the M5 Hurricane RR Touring, with a top speed of 362 km / h, the fastest combination (2014), the 660 PS strong M5 Hurricane GS achieves a top speed of 333 km / h as the fastest LPG powered vehicle (2011 ), the fastest saloon car from BMW with 730 PS is the M5 Hurricane with the top speed of 360 km / h.
