Colors have always played an important role in the automotive world – including at Porsche. From the first air-cooled 356 to the latest all-electric Taycan, an impressive, eclectic color palette has enabled Porsche designers and customers to express their passion and individuality. This is particularly evident in the creation of this 911 Speedster - a car inspired by the Porsche family itself and a dream realized by the experts at Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur. Ferry Porsche usually made sure that its company cars were painted in a range of subtle, elegant colors such as oak green metallic, olive green, emerald green metallic or brewster green. This tradition is still carried out today by Dr. Wolfgang Porsche continued. Several models in his private collection have the same colors that his father favored more than half a century ago.

In fact, it was one of those cars that inspired the creation of this particular Speedster. During a visit to the Porsche Museum, the future owner of the 993 Turbo S caught the eye of Dr. Porsche still likes to steer over Austria's Grossglockner. With Code 22B brewster green livery, it was love at first sight - and the beginning of an enduring passion for this rare, nuanced hue. "I'm not a big fan of metallic colors and I immediately fell in love with brewster because it's so understated," he explains. "It looks black in certain environments, but the green really pops in the right light."

The "color of your choice" options go beyond the already extensive range of standard and special colors and give customers the opportunity to express their personality and lifestyle even more individually. With more than 100 additional colors from a technically approved spectrum, the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers a very large selection for the 911. A labor-intensive time followed for the customer and the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, who were asked to paint their 911 Turbo S, which was in progress Dress generation 991.2 in brewstergreen. Shortly thereafter, a 911 GT3 Touring followed, which offered the opportunity to experiment with leather in noto green in the interior and wheel stripes in British racing green.

With a head full of ideas and an allocation for a 991.2 Speedster, the customer made the journey to Zuffenhausen to personally configure his latest Porsche. Along the way he was informed that Exclusive Manufaktur could again offer a special 'color of your choice' finish and without hesitation he again chose Dr. Porsche's beloved brewstergreen.

"It was time to combine all my favorite shades of green and the Speedster was the perfect car for that," he recalls. “The choice naturally fell on brewstergreen after seeing the 991.2 Turbo S in this livery. The Touring GT3-inspired leather interior in noto green was also obvious. But this time we went one step further and left no stone unturned.” Everything – seats, air vents, steering wheel, door panels, sun visors, the edges of the floor mats, all the trim and even the fuse box cover hidden in the footwell were included Leather upholstered in noto green. On the other hand, he had the wheels fitted with a contrasting silver decorative stripe to match the bodywork

“From laying out the color and leather swatches over lunch to see how they match to seeing the actual result, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” says the client. “There were a few things that added a lot to the overall experience, well beyond the actual vehicle. I got to see the car before it left Zuffenhausen and meet some of the people who worked on it. Her passion and joy in working on this project made it a very special event.”

The result is not only an impressive monument to one man's passion, but also reflects the dedication and skill of the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur team, involving customers every step of the way. "It was an honor, a pleasure and a privilege to make my dream come true," says the owner proudly. “I'm more than happy with the end result and as you can see from the mileage and the slightly worn leather, I enjoy taking the car for a few laps. The whole project was so unique and personal that I can't imagine ever parting with my car. A combination that may not be for everyone, but for me it means perfection.”
