Royal Enfield

The motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield, founded in 1893, is the oldest active motorcycle brand in the world. While initially only bicycle parts and weapons were produced, the brand's first motorcycle was not made until 1901. Just one year later, motorcycles with engines up to 350 cc were produced. Four-wheeled automobiles were also manufactured from 1901 to 1905, but automobile production was discontinued after just four years. The company has been part of the now Indian Eicher Group since 1994, and as early as 1955 today's company emerged from the British motorcycle company of the same name, which, as is well known, also produces weapons and automobiles. The Royal Enfield brand specializes primarily in choppers and bobbers, and it is also enjoying increasing popularity in Europe. Modified models from Royal Enfield, on the other hand, are still very rare in this country, but that could also change if the brand gains greater recognition.
