This segment is also becoming more and more interesting for workshops that have not yet had any experience with mobile homes. Anyone who is already familiar with transporters and has the necessary equipment can usually carry out "unspecific" work without any problems. “This also applies to the chassis, although there is a lot of hidden potential here. Keyword upgrade. The BILSTEIN Academy has therefore decided to offer free training on all aspects of camper chassis for the first time in summer 2022,” says Rainer Popiol, head of the training organisation. The course, which is conducted live online by a trainer, is initially offered on two dates that can be booked with just a few clicks. At the same time as the new training courses, BILSTEIN is launching the B6 Camper, a high-performance shock absorber specially designed for mobile homes. The innovative product was developed to significantly improve the handling of mobile homes. “Unchanged transporter chassis are almost always used here, which are designed for heavily fluctuating loading conditions. Mobile homes, on the other hand, are never really empty due to the heavy built-in components, but tend to be just below the permissible total weight. A lack of travel comfort, poor stability when cornering or annoying driving noises don't always make going on vacation a pleasure," says Popiol, outlining the problem.
How workshops can easily solve this problem for the benefit of their customers with the BILSTEIN B6 Camper is also explained in detail as part of the virtual e-training. "Our registration-free B6 Camper combines a whole range of advantages: These include increased safety in side winds and in curves as well as a more intensive and comfortable driving experience," explains Rainer Popiol. This shock absorber initially covers campervans and semi-integrated vehicles based on the Fiat Ducato (from 2006 onwards) and the largely identical vehicles from Citroën and Peugeot.
