The next generation of the VW Passat will also be the last generation with a combustion engine. With the ID.3 R, a new, strong VW is also set to come onto the market. Experts assume that the ID.3 R could have 300 hp. However, there is still no confirmation that an ID.3 R will actually come onto the market. This is also the reason why the model cannot be expected until 2024 at the earliest.

The plans for 2025

So far, there is no small electric car from VW. But that could change in 2025. The ID.1 (or ID.2) will probably be the VW model for city traffic. Based on the ID.Life concept, it should then be possible in 2025 to jet through the cities in a small electric car. The small car has already been teased on design sketches. There is an unclear sketch from VW Trinity. The fact is: The Trinity model is intended to herald a new generation of electric vehicles from VW. Less loading time, a longer range and CO2-neutral production are planned. In addition, VW is planning Level 4 autonomous driving. Production is scheduled to start in 2025, but sometimes not until 2026.
