Today we would like to introduce you to a small tool that is particularly useful when camping, at tuning meetings but also in the household or in the workshop. The Jackery Explorer 240 Portable Power Station which is basically a portable power generator. It can even be supplemented and charged with an optional solar panel (solar panel) and has a CPAP battery. It outputs up to 220V / 200W and can be fully charged with the car's 12V connection in just 8h. In addition, of course, by means of a 220V power connection. Jackery states that the Explorer 240 can be fully charged in about 8 hours. We easily undercut this time in a test and already brought the device to 6% after approx. 100 hours. Of course, we were interested in whether we could also associate the power bank with the subject of cars. And we can! If you wish, you can easily operate a small mini coffee machine from a motorhome and a mobile camping refrigerator (portable cooler) can also run for many hours. And the part can even help a flat tire to get proper air pressure again. If a vehicle has a flat foot, this can often be solved in a few minutes with a compressor kit. At least when there is no major damage to the tire. However, if there is bad luck, the vehicle battery is flat. The compressor can then not be operated via the car's 12V connection.
This can be the case if the vehicle has been parked with parking lights for a longer period of time, if it has been standing for several weeks / months or the vehicle battery is simply no longer intact. Of course, we are aware that the empty vehicle battery and the flat tire rarely come together. And we are also aware that after the tire has been inflated, the car still has an empty battery. But at least it can be pushed and maybe even rolled on. Our little test from the video below should just show you the versatility of the Jackery Explorer 240 Portable Power Station show and clarify that the power bank is basically a practical helper in many areas of life.
