[Display]

After LANMODO Car Night Vision from 2019 and the lifted variant from 2020 now we have that 2022 model of the Vast M1 tried out. This is one too Dash cam with night vision function, whereas the camera on the Vast M1 not integrated into the housing, but is available separately. In principle, however, the models are comparable with one another, since the majority of the functions and built-in components, the essential structure and the accessories are the same. The Vast M1 can also optionally be equipped with a rear camera be paired and also present here is a SD card slotto be able to drag the recorded videos to the PC. Unfortunately not this includes Bluetooth/Wi-Fi in combination with an app.

Lanmodo Vast M1 dash cam

The fact is: With the Lanmodo Vast M1 night vision dash cam, driving at night becomes as bright as the day. The device is supplied with three mounting options (Stand, disc holder, holder for the rear-view mirror), with two power connections (OBD + 12-volt cigarette connector), with the Front camera and with small parts for installation. The camera works with the so-called Star light level technology, where the F1.0 aperture has increased light intensity using seven glass lenses that improve resolution and contrast. Of the 8,0 inch IPS screen also shows the road in front of the vehicle completely and without delay on. The cam also works with one 75 degree night vision angle and covers a wide field of view. Up to are possible 300m visibility and thus you can see much further ahead than with conventional headlights.

good visibility whatever the conditions

From Darkness, Rain and Snow up to Fog, even in the worst weather conditions, the Vast M1 shows relentlessly clear images.

The typical dashcam functions are like Loop video recording, a maximum memory support up 128 GB, 24-hour parking mode (depending on the connection) and a G-Sensor with automatic overwrite protection, which protects the video in question from being overwritten in the event of a collision. And also the optional IP67 rear camera with the angle extended to 170° and the 1080p resolution is impressive.

The one supplied separately with the Vast M1 Front camera has the advantage that the lens can be adjusted individually as required and the glare from oncoming headlights can be reduced a bit more than with the system with a permanently installed cam. This also makes the installation of the display more flexible. Because in addition to the possibility of mounting on the dashboard or the windshield, there is now one Rear view mirror mount there.

In principle, the processing is familiar high-quality and the supplied material and the length of the cables are more than sufficient. Nevertheless, there are of course a few negative aspects that we noticed. You can find out what these are in our short test report in the following video.

the most important properties at a glance:

  • 128GB TF card
  • 1080P front camera
  • Bracket for dashboard, windshield, rear view mirror
  • 8,0 inch display for Vast M1
  • Optional: Lanmodo 1080P rear view camera
  • optional: 24V to 12V converter
