Not only children's eyes get bigger with this part! The Rollplay Turnado electric go-kart with full 24 V is a true world first with an addictive factor. Fueled by a powerful 24 V engine, the Turnado is one of the craziest ways for kids to get into the drifting scene and make daddy proud. The Turnado combines the stability and driving characteristics of a traditional electric go-karts. Add to that the unique wheel configuration that we have never seen before. Front of the Turnado has two large wheels installed, so that the smooth implementation of the steering commands is ensured and at the rear provide two smaller rear wheels for crazy 360 degrees turns. The wheels are fully swiveling and therefore crazy drifts after a short practice time are child's play possible. The Turnado is suitable for children over 8 years and maximum he can be charged up to 60 kilograms.

In our test, the Turnado managed a full hour and almost 8 kilometers, partly mountainous, with almost no breaks and with countless turns. The drift action for young racing drivers does not leave adults behind either. No matter where our little "test driver" turns up with the Turnado, he was sure of his eyes. With a top speed of up to 14 km / h, the 24 volt battery-operated go-kart from Rollplay can easily keep up with all common hoverboards. Just with a lot more show! Rollplay's promise "every journey becomes a unique experience" is definitely kept. Since the arrival of the Turnado, our “test driver” has been really excited to go for a “walk” with mom and dad. We have never seen it like this before. “Going for a walk as normal” can be called that, because the Turnado also allows walking pace at any time via a speed control system and thus a slight dosage of speed. An accelerator pedal with pressure function (similar to a car) allows you to control the speed and if you let go of the gas, the Turnado brakes itself.

Drifts, turns and other cool stunts can be practiced so perfectly and even the nerve-sparing "cruising" is no problem. It goes without saying that a helmet and suitable clothing always have to be worn, as well as the fact that the Turnado may only be driven on "restricted non-public roads". The Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) and Vehicle Registration Regulations (FZV) are tough. A means of transport that travels faster than 6 km / h due to "design-related" (without your own physical exertion) must have a seat, a handlebar, brakes, lighting and mirrors. Public roads and roads are therefore taboo. If you violate a threat of fines and 1 point in Flensburg (§ 21 StVG driving without a license). Actually, you even need a driver's license for such a vehicle. This type of vehicle can namely fall under the motorcycle classes AM, A1, A2, A, but partly also in the passenger car class B. The legislation is not really conclusive.

do not drive on public roads

That is why they are currently planning a new regulation for e-scooters, Segways and even a legal regulation for hoverboards, airwheels and whatever else there is. We have to point this out right now. Hoverboards, the Turnado Drift Racer & Co. are to be classified as motor vehicles within the Federal Republic of Germany. If you are traveling on public roads, the provisions of the STVZO and FZO apply, including compulsory insurance. But none of this should reduce the great fun of the ROLLPLAY TURNADO DRIFT RACER. After all, there are enough suitable areas. We got the Turnado in the trunk of a normal limousine and let our racing driver drive on a large, spaciously fenced property. Only the weight of 32 kilograms can develop into a problem, as the Turnado cannot be carried alone due to its dimensions of 765x 1015x 644 mm. But no problem for two and the bright children's eyes compensate for everything!

These are the most important details about the Rollplay Turnado:

  • Allowed from an age of 8 years
  • Weight: Maximum 58-60 kg
  • Product weight: 32 kg
  • Dimensions: 765x 1015x 644 mm
  • Speed up to 14 km / h
  • 24 Volt Battery (rechargeable)
  • 360 degree drift function
  • Front tire with air
  • Speed control system (accelerator pedal)
  • very good workmanship
