Have you ever heard of the metal conditioner? XADO Maximum Twin Turbo heard? This is an intelligent oil additive that is supposed to enable the surfaces in the engine to be restored by means of a metal-ceramic layer. Within 1.500 - 2.000 kilometers driven, a protective layer automatically forms around those surfaces that are affected by wear and tear. This results in improved engine compression, the engine is actively protected against overloading and overheating, and the lubricating properties of the engine oil and the tribological parameters of the engine parts are also improved. In addition, XADO offers the prospect of lower fuel and oil consumption. Quasi a liquid tuning for the car. And that is exactly what we have now with our somewhat outdated VW Phaeton 3.0 TDI V6 (VW EA896 evo CEXA) tried out. The vehicle has run approximately 270.000 kilometers and should therefore be the ideal test candidate for this product. While the factory's 240 hp engine has so far not shone with any oil consumption, the lack of smoothness, especially when stationary, is a major point of criticism. So we hoped that the metal conditioner Twin Turbo would at least make a small improvement

In the further course of the text our video shows you our experience after approx. 1.100 kilometers driven and at the same time the simple application of the product. At the moment, we still lack nearly 900 kilometers to achieve the effective time recommended by XADO, but a noticeably improved smoothness, a noticeably improved response and a better pull are already evident. By the performed chip tuning our Phaeton is already a bit more confident, but the impression has improved again. In the lower and medium speed range in particular, the extra power is even more present, which we do not can substantiate with concrete numbers. It is more a feeling that becomes noticeable when you move a vehicle every day and is actually certain to know it inside out by heart with all its peculiarities. And as already mentioned, the complete running culture of the engine has already improved. And we can prove that! In the past, shaking and shaking the V6 was the order of the day, especially after a cold start. If you then immediately put in gear D and thereby generate load, real misfires became noticeable, which then always disappeared after approx. 10-15 seconds.

with around 110 € not a bargain

After currently driving around 1.100 kilometers, this phenomenon has completely disappeared despite the current frosty outside temperatures of -15 degrees and more. And that's exactly what our little video shows. We have demonstrated the vibrations quite banally with two water glasses and the biggest difference is to be seen when the engine is cold. Before we do that Oil additive twin turbo used, the engine ran so unevenly that our glass with water on the engine sometimes even jumped back and forth. This effect has completely disappeared after just over half the effective time of the oil additive. And of course this is special IM Vehicle feel. Although the V6 TDI will never be a miracle of running culture, the effect in terms of smooth running only by adding the Xado metal conditioner is quite remarkable.

we will continue to report

So far, we have been rather reluctant to add additives for the fuel, the engine or the gearbox and we had our prejudices in this regard. In our case, and especially with regard to the smooth running of the engine, we can completely dispel these prejudices. We are excited to see if we will notice anything about fuel consumption. We have documented the fuel consumption of our Phaeton for a good 20.000 kilometers in a logbook, but the difficult weather conditions currently do not allow a fair assessment. As soon as spring comes and there are no snowy mountain roads to deal with, we will keep an eye on it. In addition, there is an oil change in about 1.000 kilometers. In this case, we will provide you with an upgrade of our latest experiences in any case.
