Hardly any manufacturer is as well known in the camping scene as Airstream. And the Glamping community probably also know the Airstream 350LE luxury motorhome. And just such a rare item is now being offered for sale by Silverstone Auctions, based in the UK. The copy from the video is a complete vehicle from 1992 with a target price of around $ 100.000. Most of you probably only know the American company with its well-known aluminum trailers. But Airstream also started building complete mobile homes in 1974. And this example, built in 1992, is one of the last manufactured vehicles by the manufacturer that was still made using aluminum. Shortly afterwards, Airstream began converting to fiber optics. The rolling luxury home is powered by a 7,4-liter V8 engine.

fully restored in 2010

The vehicle was extensively restored in 2010 by Northampton-based RV specialist LAS Motorhomes and has been shining in its old glory ever since. In line with the aeronautical inspiration for the Airstream, the interior was even completely redesigned with leather by a company specializing in aircraft interiors. And very similar modifications were made to the outside. Here, for example, the aluminum plates have been refurbished and even the 6 rims shine in a new shine. Most of the work, however, was done under the skin. Because the basis of the 350LE motorhome has been significantly improved. For example, there was a self-leveling lift kit, completely new cabling, new sanitary facilities, improved brakes and basically, you can say that everything has been renewed that you need for everyday life on the road and when camping.
