We would like to show you a drag race from a brand new BMW M135i xDrive (F40) against the also new Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic (W177). The guys from were responsible for the race car mag from South Africa and the two compact athletes show what they can do in the premium entry-level segment with front-wheel drive architecture. The performance is comparable. The BMW M135i xDrive comes with a transversely installed 2-liter four-cylinder turbo with 306 hp and 450 Nm torque, which it delivers to all four wheels using the xDrive system and eight-speed automatic transmission. The Mercedes-AMG A35 comes with 4matic all-wheel drive and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) and 306 hp and therefore has a similar setup.
