The currently fastest electric car in the world is the Genovation GXE - an electrified sports car. The American company built on the basis of the Corvette C7 Genovation Cars namely an electric sports car on its feet. Where actually sits the V8 engine of the Corvette is now a large battery installed and two electric motors provide a total of 811 PS for powerful propulsion. The fastest electric car in the world has impressive 973 Newtonmeter torque and the battery lasts for about 270 kilometers. The Genovation GXE took the record with 338 km / h top speed at the Johnny Bohmer test site at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Florida.
680.000 Euros are due
But Genovation Cars is aiming for even higher speeds with the GXE. The street-legal electric sports car should even crack the 350 km / h mark. For the time being, you would like to build 75 copies of the GXE and the unit price is quite heavy with around 680.000 Euro. Especially when ordering a deposit in the amount of 228.000 Euro is due. But at least the price includes not only the conversion but also a Corvette C7 as a basis. In addition to the drive, it also has a programmable active suspension, stronger Brembo brakes and ultra-light carbon rims. The company is installing an additional 10,4 Infotainment Center in the cab of the electric sports car
