This is exactly what the Youtubers from "Garage 54" have done. And the video is once again proof that the tuning scene is extremely large and very creative, and also has limitless ideas. And frankly the idea is really absurd. How does the wheelset behave under different temperatures, at high speeds or at high loads?

Is the brake still sufficiently cooled? Better, we do not ask any further! The Garage 54 team decided to build the set of transparent Plexiglas rims and they're done. And the shatterproof replacement for glass is quite suitable for this, the video shows. The result is a three-piece wheel, whose spokes were completely replaced by Plexiglas. A 20 mm thick Plexiglas (Also called acrylic glass: chemically polymethyl methacrylate, abbreviation PMMA). After the delivery of the plexiglass discs, some changes were necessary, but then the discs could be fitted and screwed. And the result does not even look bad on the black Mercedes 190E test vehicle.
