The ultimate paint preparation on a BMW E36 (3 Series)

The following video from Chromatic auto detailing was uploaded to YouTube at the end of May and shows the complete paint treatment on an old BMW E36 3 Series Convertible. The video lasts almost 21 minutes and is well done, we think! The guys decided to completely revise the paint on the 318ci. And that this is urgently needed is shown by the special lighting that was set up for this and the excellent camera work. The vehicle has definitely had hundreds of visits to the car wash in its lifetime and is accordingly scratched and rather dull.

all steps are explained

The video shows the art and craft that are required to restore the paint that is over 20 years old to a new shine. The video shows the most important steps and everything starts with removing the attached PinStripe. What do you actually think of? Simply pulling off the "tuning stripes" improves the look of the elegant convertible. It is clear from the start that there is a lot to be done. The convertible top must be covered, the same applies to the door handles, the antenna, the plastic panels in the aprons, etc. Everything is underpinned by gentle jazz music. Check it out!

  1. I think it's unbelievable that it is now possible to give old paint over 20 years old shine. In our car workshop here in the village, an old Chevy was recently repainted. It was about as fascinating to watch as this video here.
