The new Shelby GT500, based on the current Ford Mustang GT, has been on the market for some time and since then has to prove itself against almost everyone who has more than 600 hp under the hood. And currently we have found a few videos showing the pony car in the drag race against the current BMW M8 Competition, the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and even against a Ferrari 812 superfast. While the Mustang, as expected, sees no sting against the Italian, the other opponents are no problem. Especially with regard to the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, we were a little surprised. But here Ford seems to be simply doing the better job! And, as expected, it also beats the BMW M8 clearly. Even if this narrowly wins the duel in a race due to the xDrive all-wheel drive. However, especially with increasing speed, it becomes apparent that the M8 is less energetic. The performance difference of over 130 hp is too big.
