Shelby American

Shelby American Inc. was founded by 1962 in Las Vegas. The American company manufactures supercars. In the early years, it was a big business to sell tuning parts and to offer private customers vehicle tuning. So also the legendary models Shelby GT 350 (based on a Ford Mustang) and the Cobra CSX-2000 were created. In the field of racing 1965 and 1967 celebrated some victories, including the 24-hour race of Le Mans and Daytona. With the Shelby Baja Raptor The first off-road vehicle was launched in series, bringing its driver reliably to its destination in all conditions, whether it be desert or deep snow. In its own Shelby Museum many former and new models can be viewed free of charge. The models Shelby 1000 and the GT series can be seen in many an American TV production and received therefore a good public attention. Just about all newer models are either based on or under license from Ford and in most cases have the Ford brand on the grill.
