Fortunately, tuner G-Power has the 800 PS strong BMW M5 F90 presents. If not, some M5 drivers would look stupid. The background is that G-Power now has a huge increase in performance on 600 PS & 810 NM for the M550i G30 in stock. This means that the “little brother” receives a full 60 Newton meters of “more” torque than a factory M5 and is on par with 600 HP in this regard. Only the M5 Competition is 25 hp ahead here. But neither of the two can keep up with the sprint to 100 km / h that the G-POWER M550i (G30) completes in just 3,2 seconds (M5 3,4 s & Competition 3,3 s). And even at a top speed of over 320 km / h, the M550i runs electronically to 305 km / h (with M Driver's Package) deregulated M5 on and off. The official as M performance vehicle titled M550i beats the big brother with it. WOW!
faster than a standard M5 F90
Incidentally, the N63B44 V8 BiTurbo engine delivers 462 PS & 650 NM ex works. In series production, this enables acceleration to 100 km / h in just 4 seconds. In order to achieve the performance plus of +138 PS / 101 kW and +160 Nm installed G-Power the well-known G-POWER Performance Software V2 "35 years EDITION" and also installs in-house downpipes with sports catalysts. Optionally, a further increase in performance can also be installed which generates a little less brutal 550 PS & 780 NM. And if you wish, you can also lend a hand on the 5 series. The presentation vehicle comes on the well-known weight-optimized 21-inch forged wheel set G-POWER HURRICANE RR made of ultra-light aircraft aluminum. The exact dimensions on the front axle are 9 × 21 inches and the rear axle is equipped with wider 10,5 × 21 inches. As tires, slippers in the format 255 / 30R21 are used on the front axle and the rear axle has 305 / 25R21 rollers. The vehicle shown here comes with accessories from the M-Performance range.
small details for the perfect setup
You can see the M-Performance front spoiler, the sill swords and the black kidneys and fender inserts. We are not quite sure about the spoiler lip on the tailgate which we rather reckon with the repertoire of G-Power. In addition, there was a subtle lowering (further details unknown), G-Power emblems at the front and rear, an engine cover in the typical G-Power orange and apparently also a modified brake system. For us, this example is the perfect alternative to the M5 and impressively shows what the M550i is capable of.
