An unladen weight of 2,3 tons but still an acceleration to 100 km / h in just 5,2 seconds. The brand new BMW X5 M50d G05 shows the competition with 4 turbochargers where the hammer hangs. Equipped ex works with impressive 400 PS & 760 Nm torque, the fourth generation of the X5 as the current diesel top model M50d is beyond any doubt in terms of performance. But not enough for the traditional BMW tuner G-Power. They have now pre-buttoned the Munich SUV and offer extensive performance enhancements for diesel and gasoline engines. The M50d is currently the only M-Performance X5 and under the hood the heart of the BMW 7 Series (G11 / G12 750d) beats the G-Power known already 460 diesel PS has breathed, So why not bring the performance plus in the B57D30 Quadturbo diesel of the X5? By means of chip tuning, the tuner provides a power leap to powerful 475 PS (349 kW) and a torque of fierce 865 Nm.

Without any changes to the hardware, G-POWER Chiptuning V1 ensures an increase in performance and at the same time retains all standard diagnostic and engine protection functions of the engine. Increased to 475 PS (349 kW) and 865 Nm, the X5 M50d G05 pounds to 4,8 km / h in 100 seconds, completely forgetting the 2.350kg empty weight. But the M50d is not even the top model. The performance peak is marked by the G-Power X5 xDrive50i G05, which comes with 2 PS & 600 NM torque using Performance Software V810. It is practically the alternative to the planned X5 M of the G05 series, which is very likely to be presented this year. In this case, however, changes to the hardware are necessary to enable the performance jump to 600 hp. For software V2, new downpipes with 200-cell sports catalysts have to be installed.
Performance increase for diesel & gasoline engines
Further performance enhancements for the xDrive40i and the xDrive30d are also available. And visually G-Power has something to offer for the SUV with the giant kidneys. The tuner installs the in-house G-POWER HURRICANE RR forged wheel on the X5, which consistently fills the wheel arches in the king size 11 x 23 inch format, with massive slings in the dimensions 315 / 25 R23. The 5 dual-spoke design fits well with the brawny appearance of the X5 and thanks to the use of aircraft aluminum, the G-POWER forged wheels are even particularly light. If we receive any further information on further details for the G05 series in the near future, there will of course be an update to this report as always.
