Frankenstein vehicles there are many in the world of tuning. The brand or the origin doesn't matter. However, it is always amazing how good many of these third-party components look on the tuning vehicle. Today we want to give you a cool one JDM mix present, which at first glance you certainly cannot believe is real.
What am I?
US tuner Dylan Krucke thought it must be possible to combine two JDM icons in one car. So he created this Mazda RX-7 (FD) with the front end of a Toyota Supra Mk.4, which looks like it left the factory in this outfit. Sure, the ultra-clean design may not be to everyone's taste, but the Supra's tinted headlights look great on the RX-7. The new bonnet with the two air vents, which gives the car a fast-and-furious vibe, immediately catches the eye.
There were also new front and rear bumpers that reinforce this effect. There were also fat ones for the RX-7 side skirts, coilover, massive fender flares and new rims. The wheels pull with their five-spoke design and the Low bed optics all eyes on you, and the silver finish goes perfectly with the bright orange exterior paintwork. Of course, the negative wheel camber, which is also visible on the front axle, should not be missing. That Camber-Tuning It's not for everyone, but it's an integral part of the JDM culture.
Wankel engine drives the sports car!
So far, the car has its original engine. In other words, a two-rotor Wankel engine with a displacement of 1,3 liters provides propulsion. We do not know whether the unit was tuned. There have already been suggestions on the net to install a Nissan engine in order to create the ultimate JDM mix. Our conclusion: a curious and fascinating project.
