Last weekend, the Japanese tuner presented Kuhl-racing for the new TOYOTA 30 ALPHARD his bodykit that was already available for the predecessor model. Basically it has opposite to that Bodykit for the identical Vellfire nothing great changed. Everything was just adapted to the luxury variant Alphard. Under the hood, the Alphard now comes as a facelift with 2GR-FKE 3,5 liter V6 and a whopping 300 PS & 361 Nm torque as well as an eight-speed automatic which replaces the previous six-speed transmission. Kuhl-racing has now adapted the already known components to this model.
Really well done is the standard radiator grille from the factory is completely chrome and the Japanese tuner has now painted in high gloss black. A simple modification that alone makes for a huge difference. The Bodykit includes a discreet front spoiler for the gigantic front bumper, lugs for the side skirts and a rear skirt extension for the rear bumper. Only after 2 x look you can also see the new bonnet in racing look that completes the mighty appearance from the front.
The rear end is complemented by an additional roof spoiler in perceived 8 meters height and like all modified vans from Kuhl-racing, the 2018 Alphard is extremely deep. He owes it to an Airride air suspension that ensures at the touch of a button that the luxury van is pushed consistently towards the road and, if desired, also comes to a mobile level. The mighty appearance is rounded off with a set of VERZ Wheels multi-spoke alloy wheels, which partially disappear in the wheel arch with dark gray rim star and highly polished rim cushions.
Apart from the extreme lowering, we really like the whole vehicle and the Alphard would most likely be a successful alternative to the VW T6 or the Mercedes V-Class in Germany. Especially with the Kuhl racing body kit all around. If we receive any more information, there will of course be an update to this report.
