Restomods continue to enjoy great popularity, which is why many companies are active in this field. And one of them is Kindred Motorworks, who have now converted a classic first-generation Ford Bronco into their own “Trail Edition”. It is based on the series from 1966 to 1975 and essentially retains its old design. However, coupled with modern conveniences. Highlights include coil spring rear suspension, disc brakes all round, power steering and LED lighting all round. Next are 18-inch forged wheels with 33 inches (0,84 m) BFGoodrichoff-road tires installed for more grip. The Trail Edition also includes a new front apron with an integrated winch and the rear apron has one Trailer hitch and one spare wheel carrier there.

And of course, comfort is not neglected either. Inside the cabin there are heated Recaro leather bucket seats, three-point seat belts and even power windows. Also new cup holders, a modern audio system with subwoofer and Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone integration, a keyless entry and an electric handbrake is not missing. And thanks Backup camera parking is now much easier.

Incidentally, Kindred states that the Trail Edition in 10 colors can be ordered and includes matching rims, emblems and an adapted interior. The finishes are called Sage, Deep Maroon, Lake Blue, Muted Gray, Icy Blue, Sand Yellow, Rioja Red, Slate Blue, Turquoise, and Tangerine. The Bronco in the pictures is painted in Muted Gray and has a black roof. There were also fender flares all around, a different grille, new logos and black leather interior in the cabin.

According to Kindred, vehicles come with a white roof, matching fender flares, grille and chrome badges, and a tan leather interior. And under the hood? Here's the icing on the cake: a Gen.3 Ford Coyote V8 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. He performs 460 PS and provides sufficient propulsion. And besides the mentioned V8, the Kindred Bronco can also do with one E-drive be equipped with a range of approximately 200 miles (322 km).

In the Ford Bronco Restomod Trail Edition press release, Kindred states that the front and rear apron package (with winch, trailer hitch and spare wheel carrier) alone already costs a good 10.000 US dollars. And the complete vehicle? That beats with at least 179.000 US Dollars to book. Production of the first vehicles is scheduled to begin next year.
