Brooklyn Coachworks Land Rover Series One 107 UTE

Here is the Brooklyn Coachworks Land Rover Series One 107 UTE which, in our opinion, at least on a par with the Chelsea Land Rover Defender of the 2 Series from tuner Kahn Design stands. The vehicle was created in collaboration with Timm Cooper and convinces in particular with the purist look. Cooper has been known for years for creating unique vehicles from Land Rover. What Carroll Shelby is to Ford, that's Timm Cooper for Land Rover, so to speak. The frame of the Brooklyn Coachworks Land Rover Series One 107 UTE sits on leaf springs and from Rovertracks come the specially made axles front and rear which are designed in combination with Toyota differentials to a particularly heavy duty. There were four disc brakes all around but to our knowledge without a brake booster are used.

So you really need some power when pedaling the brake pedal. The most important thing is under the hood. Brooklyn Coachworks built a Chevy 327-V8 Small Block, which was coupled to a NP435 4 gearbox and transmits the power to all four wheels via Land Rover transfer case. In contrast to the 50 PS strong 2-liter engine ex factory, the 350 PS strong V8 with Holly Sniper EFI system quasi 7 x is so strong. But in addition to the engine, of course, the huge off-road capability is a highlight. There were original Land Rover rims in the format 15 x 10 inches but the tires in the dimensions 35 × 12,5 × 15 is anything but original. The modified chassis, the off-road tires bring a further lift with the overall appearance of the Land Rover Series One 107 UTE changed. And also every inch of the off-roader is an absolute eye-catcher.

5 x classic round instruments in 107 UTE

No matter if it is the robust front apron with winch, the typical small radiator grille with the close together main headlights, the Spartan cargo area or the removable soft top. And even the cabin is beyond any doubt in its style. We would like to highlight here the classic 5 round instruments in the middle, the successful three-spoke steering wheel and of course the 3 seats without headrests. Considering the missing good but probably not the biggest problem in an accident. If we receive timely information on other changes not mentioned before, there is of course as always an update for this report.
