Suzuki presents the new GSX-8S

A powerfully accelerating parallel twin, a handling-oriented chassis with high-quality suspension elements and iconic styling - the Suzuki GSX-8S represents a new generation of radical urban bikes that are just as exciting for sprints through the city as for sporty rides on country roads. The completely redesigned parallel twin of the Suzuki GSX-8S combines the best of two worlds. It combines the compact design of an in-line engine with a 270-degree firing sequence, including a powerful sound that is otherwise only known from V-engines. The rich thrust from the low revs turns into pure joy of revving up to the red area.

Suzuki's patented principle of the "cross-balancer" - two balancing shafts in a 90-degree arrangement - ensures just the right amount of refinement and, in conjunction with a modern injection system and electronically controlled throttle valves, contributes to the refinement of the characterful DOHC four-valve engine .

Innovative technologies

Modern technologies support the driver in all situations. Three driving modes allow the power delivery to be adapted to different conditions. The standard bidirectional Quick-Shift system enables clutchless gear changes for seamless acceleration processes and, in combination with the standard slipper clutch, controlled deceleration for a sporty driving style. The low RPM assist helps in city traffic and with spontaneous U-turns, while the easy start system stands for comfortable starting processes with just a push of a button without actuating the clutch. Depending on the situation and driving style, three modes control the intensity of the traction control, and of course ABS intervenes to support you in extreme situations.

Compact chassis

Light and slim in its dimensions, the chassis of the Suzuki GSX-8S is designed with the focus on maximum agility. The compact frame, subtly integrated into the lines, accommodates a high-quality upside-down fork from KYB, while at the rear a lever-linked mono-shock supports the uniquely shaped swingarm. In addition, a lavishly dimensioned brake system ensures safe, precise stops. Cast aluminum wheels with a filigree spoke design underline the sporty character of the GSX-8S and contribute to the playful handling thanks to their low weight.

Radical styling

The design of the GSX-8S expresses its claim to be a state-of-the-art, active machine. The minimalist lamp cover takes up the striking design language of popular street fighters. Integrated into this are two bright, hexagonal headlights with the latest LED technology in a recognizable vertical arrangement. The crisp, muscular rear end corresponds to the extremely short 2-in-1 exhaust system and the sharply cut radiator covers and signals the spontaneous willingness to perform of the Suzuki GSX-8S.

Equipment at the highest level

• The 5-inch color TFT-LCD multifunction instrument provides the driver with all relevant vehicle and system information in real time. An intuitive layout and excellent readability in different lighting conditions allow the pilot to concentrate fully while driving.

Availability and colors

• The GSX-2023S will be available from Suzuki motorcycle partners from early summer 8. A 35 kW version is also available on request. There are three colors to choose from: Pearl Cosmic Blue (QU1), Pearl Tech White (QU2) and Metallic Mat Black No.2 / Glass Sparkle Black (KGL). The recommended retail price will be announced in good time before the market launch.
